I strongly urge Congress to pass a comprehensive energy policy that will help American consumers by creating MORE ENERGY NOW. The federal government must do more to alleviate high energy prices, reduce our reliance on imported oil and improve our national energy security.
 
Consumers, businesses and industries across the nation are struggling with rising energy prices and tighter supplies. Thus, it is more important than ever that the federal government put politics aside and pass legislation which will:
 
1) support access to all domestic energy resources,
2) accelerate the use of alternatives and renewable resources, and
3) improve energy efficiency and conservation and expand energy education.
 
Providing for a sensible energy policy that promotes the safe development of U.S. energy resources both onshore and offshore, encourages efforts to improve energy efficiency and conservation measures and invests in the long-term promise of alternative energy resources will aid consumers and businesses who are paying more for electricity, home heating, gasoline, diesel fuel and food.
 
As an American consumer impacted by skyrocketing energy prices, I ask that you vote for MORE ENERGY NOW to help America emerge with greater domestic energy production and greater energy security.
